Friday the 18th June we began early in the morning setting up our hangi (in a keg) ready to cook some kai to share with our kindergarten community. We had some superb helpers early in the morning and throughout the morning. The kai was delicious and the support from our community amazing. It was a very special shared lunch with hangi, boil up and party food to clebrate the Maori new year. Thank you to everyone who contributed. Ally
Happy Matariki to Stephanie and all the teachers and children at Grasslands Kindergarten from everyone here at Miropiko Kindergarten. I (Jodie) have Georgia and Isla here with me who wanted to send messages to Stephanie. Isla said it looks like you are really enjoying your Matariki feast, Stephanie. Georgia wants to tell Stephanie that she is wearing her pyjamas today as it is Wacky Wednesday and also Jodie is dressed up as a man teacher. Pam was wondering if Grasslands Kindergarten would like to be involved in Skyping this week so we can send a happy holidays message to all of you there at Grasslands?
